Quality Assurance (QA) EngineerQuality Assurance (QA) Engineer – Castle Rock is seeking a QA Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of Castle Rocks software products by gaining deep understanding our our products and established and maintaining industry best practices for testing them; reviewing requirements, creating comprehensive test plains, and executing various testing processes. In detail, this job requires: Review and Analysis: Examine user stories, functional requirements, and other relevant documents to gain a deep understanding of how the software should perform. Test Planning: Develop detailed, well-structured test plans and test cases. Testing Methodologies: Conduct API, GUI, smoke, regression, functional, system integration, and user acceptance testing & create documentation of results. Performance Testing: Utilize modern testing approaches to thoroughly assess performance of the software products. Bug Management: Assist in bug life cycle management, including tracking, reporting, analysis, and verification. User Expectations: Validate that software meets user expectations during the testing process. UAT Support: Provide support to end-users and external stakeholders during User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Prioritization: Prioritize support requests, focusing on high-impact business issues. Salary: $85,000 per year Education and experience requirements: HS diploma/GED; must have 48 months’ experience in related professional quality assurance engineering (IT-related) occupations. Special skills and requirements: Technical skills (Strong understanding of Client-Server Architecture, Microservice Architecture, REST API, SQL, and AWS. Strong proficiency in scripting using JavaScript (TypeScript).; Experience working with the following tools in a professional setting: DevTools, Jira, Confluence, Zephyr, Postman, Fiddler, Docker, TeamCity, Kibana, Playwright, and K6. Position is remote; however, employers seek a candidate based in the Portland area to attend planning meetings and perform in-person testing as required.
